| Baker, C. J. |
Caleb Jason Baker was born in 1840 in England. In 1869 he crossed the ocean to Chicago, Illinois. Three years later he experienced the mercy of God which his Christian parents had so often spoke of. Alone, on his knees during a tearful session, his eyes fell on John 6:37, "Him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out." There C.J. Baker found rest. Ever after, like the first Caleb, he wholly followed the Lord.
For many years he preached the Gospel on the streets of Kansas City. He also helped many pioneer evengelists in a material wasy, via his tent and awning business. He provided them with is chart, "Two Roads and Two Destinies" as well as large tents used in Gospel campaigns. Now in eternity with his Lord, he knows better than ever the reality of the things contained in this volume.
