Robert McClurkin was born in Belfast, Ireland in 1904. In his early twenties, he moved to Canada and in 1932 began to preach full time. He spent many years spreading the gospel in Northern Manitoba and later moved to Ontario in his late thirties. He traveled extensively in the U.S., Canada, Ireland, England, and Barabados. In 1948, He and Robert Booth helped to form the Gore Bay Gospel Hall. He wrote many articles for Uplook Magazine, Counsel Magazine,The Word and Work, Precious Seed, Ministry in Focus, and Food for the Flock. He also wrote a book entitled Divine Principles.
