Because Gospel Folio Press publishes its own books, we are always welcoming fresh material.  If you think you have a potential manuscript that you would like to submit to GFP, the following are the steps to take to ensure that your manuscript goes through the right process.

            If you prefer to discuss the process via telephone, call GFP at 1-800-952-2382 or at 905-835-9166 and ask to speak with Sam Cairns. He can give you more information and work through the process with you.

You can also send in your manuscript via e-mail to Danielle at design@gospelfolio.com. If you choose this method (which is the preferred method), be sure to include your personal information such as your name, address, and phone number so GFP can contact you. Please attach the file as a Microsoft Word document.

The standard paper size for books at GFP is 5 ½ x 8 ½ in. Sending it in a standard 8 ½ x 11 in. format is acceptable as well.

Processing a Manuscript

1. GFP receives the manuscript from an author, usually as a Microsoft Word file.
2. The manuscript is formatted to the 5 ½ x 8 ½ in. standard book size.
3. The manuscript is printed for the manager to approve.
4. If approved, the manuscript is sent to an editor.
5. After making corrections, the editor sends the manuscript back to the publishing department.
6. The corrections are then entered into the text file.
7. The text file receives a final check through for spelling, grammar, and formatting.
8. At any point in this process, the book cover is started. The cover must be approved by both the manager and the author.
9. All of the files are sent to the printer.
10. Books are printed and then shipped to GFP in Port Colborne, Ontario, where they are sold in the bookstore and to mail-order customers.
