There is no doubt in these words of the apostle. He was utterly confident that He who had begun a good work would complete it at the day of Christ (Phil. 1:6). When we came to our Saviour we were instantly washed, cleansed and justified through the Spirit of God (1 Cor. 6:11). But one day, we will be glorified and then we will know the reality of the words, “The work which His goodness began, the arm of His strength will complete.” All the trials, all the tears, all the toils, will be past and we will bear His image. —Mark Kolchin
