DAILY?READINGS: Leviticus 16; Psalm 119:113-144; Mark 6:1-29

But God has shown me. Acts 10:28

Peter was an orthodox Jew and very prejudiced against Gentiles. But God showed him in a vision that no animals were unclean for eating. If this was true, then it is also true that God is not partial to any race. And so Peter entered the house of Cornelius and shared the Gospel with him. What has God shown you? If God impresses you with a truth then your life will be changed. No longer is it simply a fact to be known, but a conviction that you must obey. Ask God to show you truth and become a person gripped by convictions. —Donald L. Norbie

O teach me, Lord, that I may teach,
The precious things Thou dost impart;
And wing my words, that they may reach,
The hidden depths of many a heart.
