DAILY?READINGS: Gen. 8:20 to 9:29; Job 11-12; Matt. 6:1-18

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. Hebrews 9:27

This solemn warning is given to those who have never repented of their sin nor accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their substitute. On the cross of Calvary, the Saviour bore the sins of the world, but to be born again is a personal matter. The Lord Jesus said to Nicodemus: “Ye must be born again” (John 3:7). Have you ever cried out from the depths of your heart and confessed: Christ Jesus died for me? —E. Bennett MacLelland

It was for me, yes all for me,
O love of God, so great so free,
O wondrous love, I’ll shout and sing,
He died for me, my Lord and King. —J. M. White
