DAILY?READINGS: Gen. 27:1-46; Job 34:1-35:16; Matt. 14:13-36

And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. Luke 24:30-31

They recognized Him in the breaking of the bread. One day, we too will see those nail prints. I once heard a friend pray, “Thank you Lord for the privilege of coming together to remember You. Let us not forget today that many don’t have this privilege.” May we remember with gratitude today what Christ has done for us. —Janet Fleming

As bread is broken week by week,
Each emblem has a word to speak.
There’s one less feast, till I am home,
For this is only till He come. —Janet Fleming
