DAILY READINGS: Leviticus 10:1-20; Psalms 111:1-112:10; Mark 2:1-22

Where we found brethren, and were desired to tarry with them seven days: and so we went toward Rome. And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us…whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage. Acts 28:14-15

Paul was no loner in God’s service. That he consistently worked with others is seen by his missionary journeys in Acts, as well as salutation passages like Romans 16. On his way to trial in Rome, the Lord cheered his heart through the appearance of his fellow-saints. In life’s trials, the body of Christ ministers to itself in love. Whom can you cheer today? —K. R. Thou the living head, dost share, ev’ry pang Thy members bear.
Full of tenderness Thou art; Thou wilt heal the broken heart. —J. G. Deck
