DAILY READINGS: Joshua 13:1-33; Isaiah 9:8-10:4; Luke 24:36-53

Thou shalt meditate therein day and night. Joshua 1:8
In his law doth he meditate day and night. Psalm 1:2
My meditation of him shall be sweet. Psalm 104:34

With today’s complex lifestyles there certainly are a lot of things to think about. But what comes to mind in the quiet moments—the brief lulls that occur in our daily schedules? If we would pause to think of Him, what a difference that would make in our disposition and outlook. “Let…the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight” (Ps. 19:14). —W. H. G.

And when I think that God, His Son not sparing
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin. —Stuart K. Hine
