DAILY READINGS: Judges 19:1-30; Isaiah 37:8-38:22; 1 Corinthians 15:1-34

In the meantime his disciples [urged] him, saying, Master, eat. But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. John 4:31-32

Never underestimate the eternal value that is found in the “meantime.” We do a lot with time and time does a lot to us. We spend it, watch it, pass it, waste it, and lose it. We should redeem the time instead of just letting it fly by, slip away and run out. The Lord Jesus used His meantime to reach a lost soul. Make this moment count. Invest it in eternity. —Rex Trogdon

Take time to be holy, the world rushes on;
Spend much time in secret, with Jesus alone,
By looking to Jesus, like Him thou shalt be;
Thy friends in thy conduct, His likeness shall see. —William D. Longstaff
