DAILY READINGS: Judges 20:1-48; Isaiah 38:1-39:8; 1 Corinthians 15:35-58

When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. Luke 11:24

There is often great emphasis made with new believers, for them to put off old ways of living, without recommending new activities to replace them. In that vacuum, it becomes too easy for them to fall back into old habits, not having been shown new ones. One of the great helps we can be to young believers is to show them how to lead full and fulfilling lives. The old spirits will then have no vacancies to return to. —Rick Morse

There’s love and life and lasting joy, Lord Jesus, found in Thee. — Emma Bevan
