Exodus 12:21-51; Psalm 45:1-46:11; Acts 6:1-15

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. 2 Chronicles 16:9a, NKJV

To get down to the heart of the matter, knowing that the Lord sees our hearts, can be comforting or convicting. If our heart is filled with everything but Him, we need to acknowledge our sin and turn back to Him. Then, with a heart that is for Him and Him alone, we find His presence becomes our strength. He calls today, “My son, give me your heart” (Prov. 23:26, NKJV). —Rex Trogdon

Lord, take my life and make it wholly Thine;
Fill my poor heart with Thy great love divine.
Take all my will, my passion, self and pride;
I now surrender, Lord—in me abide. —J. Edwin Orr
