Leviticus 13:24-59; Psalm 118:1-29; Mark 4:1-20

Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. John 6:68

Simon Peter answered his own question, “Lord, to whom shall we go?”. He knew there was nowhere else to turn and no one else to go to for the words of eternal life. Jesus is the only source. He is the eternal Word, which was in the beginning with God and was God (John 1:1-3). He is the incarnate Word that became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14). He is the final Word, after all that God had spoken in various times and ways when He spoke “by his Son” (Heb. 1:1-3). Jesus is the living Word we can read about in written form every day. —Rex Trogdon
