Deuteronomy 13:1-14:21; Song of Solomon 3:6-5:1; Luke 10:1-24

Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah…And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne…stood a Lamb. Revelation 5:5-6

The amazing concept of the Lion and the Lamb being one entity, is more than our human minds can fathom. Yet, the majesty of the Lion and the meekness of the Lamb blend together in perfect harmony in the person of the Lord Jesus. Never was that meekness more perfectly displayed than when our Saviour in obedience to the Father’s will, humbled Himself to the death of the cross. But God has triumphantly raised Him in glorious victory, and given Him a name above every name (Phil. 2:9). May we worship His majesty today! —E. V.

O what a mystery, meekness and majesty;
Bow down and worship, for this is your God! —Graham Kendrick

DAILY READINGS: Deut. 13:1-14:21; Song 3:6-5:1; Luke 10:1-24

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

A friend once said to me, “I’ve committed too many sins, God would never forgive me.” Do you feel this way? The Bible records that God forgave Saul, an accomplice to murder; Zacchaeus, an unscrupulous tax collector and a woman who committed adultery. If you agree with God that you are a sinner and repent of your sins and place your faith in your sinbearer, the Lord Jesus Christ, He will forgive you of all your sins. Come to Him today. —Bob Cretney

Christ receiveth sinful men, Even me with all my sin;
Purged from every spot and stain, Heaven with Him I enter in.
