Deuteronomy 29:1-29; Amos 7:1-8:14; Luke 15:11-32

For you…joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession…in heaven…so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.” Heb. 10:34, 36-37, NKJV

When we suffer for the sake of Christ we will be able to endure it if we remember two truths. Firstly we have a home which is: incorruptible, undefiled, that will never fade away, and is reserved in heaven for us (1 Peter 1:4). Secondly we have His promise that in a little while He will come for us. —David Croudace

Be still my soul: the hour is hastening on,
When we shall be forever with the Lord,
When disappointment, grief and fear are gone,
Sorrow forgot, love’s purest joys restored. —K. von Schlegel
