Joshua 23:1-16; Isaiah 17:1-18:7; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-17

Neither is there any daysman betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us both. Job 9:33
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all. 1 Timothy 2:5-6

The salvation of men necessitated that the mediator should himself possess the nature and attributes of God and likewise participate in the nature of man, apart from sin. Only by being possessed both of deity and humanity could He comprehend the claims of God and the needs of man. This requirement is fully met in the Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh. —Curtis Thigpen

I hear the words of love, I gaze upon the blood.
I see the mighty sacrifice, and I have peace with God. —Horatius Bonar
