DAILY READINGS: Judges 13:1-25; Isaiah 33:1-24; 1 Corinthians 11:2-34

And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

Salvation is the key theme of this text, and three things are readily observed about it. First, its narrowness—“there is salvation in no one else” (see John 14:6). Second, its name—“there is no other name under heaven given among men” (see Matthew 1:21). Third, its necessity—”by which we must be saved” (see John 3:7). Have you received this salvation through simple faith in Christ? —W. Ross Rainey

We love to sing of the Lord who died, and His wondrous love
proclaim; How there’s life and peace thro’ the Crucified, and
salvation thro’ His name. —T. D. W. Muir
