The blood of Jesus Christ…cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7, NKJV

The chaplain sat by the bed of a dying criminal and repeated this verse over and over. When the peace of sins forgiven was on the convict’s face, the chaplain left. Entering the street, he heard a newsboy announcing the death of the King at whose side the Queen had sat, reading the promises of Scripture and its forgiveness. The message that met the need of king and criminal can meet your need as well. —Arnot P. Mcintee

Lord, I believe were sinners more
Than sands upon the ocean shore,
Thou hast for all a ransom paid,
For all a full atonement made.—N. L. von Zinzendorf
