My father was a Syrian (Jacob), about to perish. Deut. 26:5, NKJV
But You are God, Ready to pardon, Gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, Abundant in kindness. Nehemiah 9:17, NKJV
The Israelites confessed before God that their forefathers in the bondage of Egypt were “about to perish.” That is also true today for unsaved persons. But when perishing sinners bow before the Lord, they cast themselves upon a God who is “ready to pardon.” It matters not how great the sinner is; the sacrificial death of Christ at Calvary is sufficient to pardon and cleanse from any and all sin. —Robert Steele
Pardon from an offended God! Pardon for sins of deepest dye!
Pardon bestowed through Jesus’ blood! Pardon that brings the
rebel nigh! Who is a pardoning God like Thee? Or who has
grace so rich and free? —Author Unknown
