1 Chronicles 17:1-18:17; Ezekiel 17:1-24; John 6:22-40

And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”…And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!” John 2:3, 10, NKJV

At the wedding feast, when their wine had run out, the Lord graciously provided an abundant and better supply—He turned water into wine. This was His first miracle, which graced this wedding feast. Figuratively speaking, the wine represents joy and His joy should fill our hearts to overflow. Are we running out or running over? —Rex Trogdon

My table Thou hast furnished,
In presence of my foes;
My head Thou dost with oil anoint,
And my cup overflows. —Francis Rous & Scottish Psalter
