Genesis 6:1-7:10; Job 8:1-22; Matthew 5:1-20

For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment. Neither is there any daysman betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us both. Job 9:32-33

Job needed someone to stand between him and the Almighty God. How he would have marvelled at the intimacy we possess today, that we can “speak, and not fear him” (Job 9:35). This intimacy rests on the Lord Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection for our sins. As you worship Him today remember Job’s plight and the position you enjoy in Christ. —Danielle Robins

Heaven came down and glory filled my soul,
When at the cross the Saviour made me whole;
My sins were washed away, and my night was turned to day;
Heaven came down and glory filled my soul. —J. W. Peterson
