Genesis 40:1-23; Psalm 18:1-29; Matthew 23:1-39

Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! Isaiah 42:1, NKJV
And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17, NKJV

The coronation of a monarch is filled with pomp and ceremony. Not so the moment when Jehovah’s Servant was divinely identified. None of the world’s elite were present. John the Baptist stood amazed in the Jordan. A few of His disciples looked on. But the Father urges us to consider Him. Behold! My Servant. He was God’s chosen One to be our Saviour. As the Father found all His delight in Him, may we find our delight in Him too! —Jim Comte

Glory to Thee; Thou Son of God most high, all praise to Thee.
Glory to Thee, enthroned above the sky, Who died for me.—E. C. Quine
