Genesis 43:1-34; Psalms 20:1-21:13; Matthew 25:1-30

Between us and you there is a great gulf fixed. Luke 16:26
Your iniquities have separated between you and your God. Isa. 59:2
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Isaiah 1:18

God in His mercy has bridged the great gulf between us and Him through the death of His beloved Son. He was the “Lamb slain before the foundation of the world” (Rev. 13:8). John the Baptist said of Him, “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). Have you believed on Him and received Him as your Saviour? —E. C. B.

O, the love that drew salvation’s plan!
O, the mighty gulf that God did span! At Calvary. —William Newell
