Leviticus 1:1-17; Psalms 96:1-98:9; Acts 24:24-25:12

I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. Micah 7:7

Dating all the way back to the days of Moses and the crossing of the Red Sea, Israel was taught to “Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord” (Ex. 14:13). That is a lesson that is surely needed in this fast-paced world where the key word is “instant” (coffee, cash, take-out, etc.). His ways are not limited by our clocks and calendars. Let’s learn to wait upon the Lord in regards to the complexities of life that beset us each day (See Isa. 40:31). —Wm. H. Gustafson

Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake,
To guide the future, as He has the past. —Katharina von Schlagel
