Numbers 15:1-41; Proverbs 12:1-28; 1 Peter 4:1-19

For you are still carnal. 1 Corinthians 3:3, NKJV

I am not sure how many times I have read this without grasping the word “still”. We can almost hear Paul’s exasperation here, as he thinks: “When will you ever grow up?” He had all sorts of expectations for his converts, but they simply weren’t growing in Christ as they should have been. There were likely many ministries in the local Church that went unfulfilled and many unnecessary problems because they were “still” carnal. Has God’s work been hindered because we’re still carnal? —N. C. Funston

With all my heart I want to love You, Lord,
And live my life each day to know You more.
All that is in me is Yours completely;
I’ll serve You only, with all my heart. —Babbie Mason
