When Jericho’s walls came down, the residents were instantly vulnerable. In the same way, lack of self-discipline leaves me vulnerable and easy prey to the darkest assaults of my enemies. The walls of self-discipline are strengthened and reinforced when, in humility of spirit, the Word of God is my steady diet and communion with Christ is my daily routine.
