Joshua 8:1-35; Isaiah 5:1-30; Luke 22:54-23:12

Moses said unto the Lord…thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Exodus 33:12
And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. Exodus 33:14

Moses seems to be asking for a man to go with him. In response, God promised He would be the one to go with Moses. A wise man has said, “Safety does not consist in the absence of danger but in the presence of God.” The believer is promised no less, “I am with you always” (Matt. 28:20). —Ken Gross

What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms:
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms. —Elisha A. Hoffman
