Description

By exploring the historical, theological and social context in which a number of selected Bible words are found, the author brings to life the meaning of these words for the ordinary reader, thus providing a useful aid to biblical interpretation. The thirty-one studies are a combination of both Hebrew and Greek words, and facilitate a daily intake of spiritual thought that will both edify and challenge the reader.

Brain Clatworthy was born in the city of Plymouth, Devon. A career civil servant with the Department now known as HM Revenue and Customs, he was a member of the Chartered Management Institute with a qualification in Operational Management. He also holds a first class honours degree in theology from the University of Exeter. He professed faith in Christ at the age of 18, and has been in fellowship in various local churches throughout the United Kingdom. Currently, he is an elder in a local church in Newton Abbot, Devon, and has a teaching ministry, mainly, but not exclusively, in Devon and Cornwall. A member of the Precious Seed trust, he has contributed articles to their magazine since 1975. Brian is married to Lynne with two grown-up children and one granddaughter.
