Description
The J.N. Darby translation is available in several English editions. The translator notes in the original Full Notes Edition include references to the Greek, Hebrew and Latin texts supporting translation decisions. The Abbreviated Notes Edition omits all notes, except to identify deviations from the “Textus Receptus” Greek text. The Modified Notes Edition was derived from the original edition by removing the text reference notes, transliterating the Greek and Hebrew words, and adding some notes from the translator’s other writings.
Two translations have been combined into one conveniently sized Bible. The King James Version, with center column references, appears on the left page and the J.N. Darby New Translation with full translator notes on the right. This edition is prefaced by Darby’s Introduction to the Bible. Other features: room for private notes, and a table of kings and prophets. Measures 6.5 inches by 9.25 inches by 1.25 inches thick, black.
