By: Phil Visher
The Bible made easy for kids! Buck Denver and his friends take your children through the whole Bible. Perfect viewing for the entire family – laugh and learn together. Phil Vischer has set out to teach kids (and parents!) the story of the Bible Ð God’s great rescue plan! We know the stories of Moses, Noah, David, and Jesus, but in this groundbreaking new series, we learn how they all fit together to tell one big, redemptive story. Vischer’s signature wit shines through with his all-new cast of characters, fast-paced flash animation, and catchy tunes. This is one journey through the Bible you won’t want to miss!
Volume 5: Israel Gets a King! features two 25-minute episodes:
Episode 1: “The People Want a King!” Covering 1 Samuel and the life of Saul as Israel’s first king.
Episode 2: “Kings Make Mistakes Too!” Covering 2 Samuel and the first chapter of 1 Kings, including the reigns of King David and his son, King Solomon.
In 1990, 24-year-old computer animator Phil Vischer sat down to create a group of characters that could teach Christian values to kids in a delightfully weird way. Hence, a tomato named Bob and a cucumber named Larry were born. VeggieTales would go on to revolutionize Christian filmmaking, selling more than 50 million videos and placing Phil’s faith-filled stories in one in every three American households with young children. His company, Jellyfish Labs, provides faith-based daily programming via the Internet at jellytelly.com. The characters from the What’s in the Bible? series are featured, but the content is not specifically from the DVDs. Phil continues to pursue innovative ways to integrate faith and storytelling through Jellyfish Labs. He chose the name Jellyfish as a reminder to remain pliable to God’s plans and not his own. Phil lives with his wife, Lisa, and their three kids in Illinois.
