Description
The Master is called the Man of Sorrows, but really He was the Man of Joy. He came from heaven’s glory to do His Father’s will, and this was His delight (Psalm 40:8). The Great Shepherd, it was His joy to bring back lost sheep. As a farewell bequest, He did not give joy to His sorrowing apostles, but HIS joy (John 15:11; 16:22; 17:13).
Fullness of Joy was written during a period of physical distress for the author. She shows that joy is the standard portion for every child of God. Read and Rejoice.
