A Daily Thought From Every Chapter of the Bible
There are 1,189 chapters in the Bible, and it would take over three years to read them all at the rate of one chapter a day. Reading through the whole Bible is a worthwhile occupation for Christians, however long it takes, for there is no substitute for reading all the pages of our Bibles – often! Clark Logan has done this, and now he has added something very interesting. Out of every chapter of the Bible, he has chosen a verse or a phrase to comment on very briefly – a short ‘three-liner’ – eloquent, pithy and wise. Many of these comments arrest your attention at once: some are challenging; some urge caution; many give good advice; all of them give food for thought afterwards. The difficult chapters in the Bible as well as the familiar ones, the long ones and the short ones, have all been treated the same. Fittingly, the readings begin with the first words in the Bible, and end with the last ones.
