Description

Made According to Pattern: The Tabernacle of Ancient Israel
By: C. W. Slemming

This detailed study of the wilderness Tabernacle has become a classic on the topic and has been used as a textbook in Bible colleges around the world. In this volume, C. W. Slemming focuses on the symbolism behind the Tabernacle’s construction, its individual parts, its furniture and utensils. From these he draws spiritual lessons which help to reveal why the Scriptures include over 50 chapters on this dwelling conceived and designed by God Himself.

“And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.” Exodus 25:8

C. W. Slemming was converted in 1919 and served for 11 years in the pastorate, but realized that the Lord had graciously given him the gift of Bible teaching. In 1946 he left the local church ministry to join the staff of Bible Testimony Fellowship, which involved traveling throughout Britain conducting weeks of Bible studies. He was later appointed directorof BTF. In 1949 he made the first of seven visits to the USA for a Bible teaching tour. During this period he charted every book of the Bible and wrote a commentary entitled The Bible Digest, receiveing a doctorate of divinity for his work. In 1974 he was called home to glory.
