The four gospels give us four divine portraits of our Lord Jesus Christ. Drawn by the Spirit of God, each displays a perfect picture to our hearts of His blessed person and work. Mathew views Him as the promised Messiah and King of Israel. With Mark we look on God’s holy, obedient Servant. Through Luke’s eyes we see him as the Son of man introducing a vast moral kingdom of which He is the head. Finally, we stand with John and gaze on Him who is the Word, the Son of God, and our hearts bow in worship before His blessed, eternal Person.
