The parables were a powerful teaching tool that our Lord used often. Doctrine presented in abstract terms may seem dry and cold. The parables make doctrine come alive, flesh it out, make it vibrant and pulsating with life. They fasten themselves upon one’s memory and are embedded in our heritage. Parables such as The Good Samaritan and The Prodigal Son are often quoted in literature. It is hoped that this book will help the reader understand and better appreciate the message our Lord wished to give.
