This latest book by William MacDonald is his last known manuscript, finished shortly prior to his home call on December 25, 2007. Those who knew Mr. MacDonald know that he lived a life that adhered to the wisdom offered in the Proverbs, with many years of experience. This makes him a worthy author of a devotional commentary on the well known book.
This book, a verse by verse commentary, is an excellent tool for daily reflection. Each of the 31 chapters contains the Biblical text followed by MacDonald’s commentary notes, practical reflections of instruction and guidance. The central theme is Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths”.
This book is excellent for personal study or as a guide for a group Bible study. This book is not a “re-hashing” of old writings, rather a completely new manuscript, and the last book in William MacDonald’s legacy of 84 titles.
