Description
Teddy’s most prized possession is the button from his father’s coat worn in battle, and Teddy delights to tell of his father’s military prowess. His reputation as leader of the children in the village is threatened by Nancy, whose proud ways bring them into conflict. Teddy has to learn to fight his feelings of hatred and mischief. When Teddy nearly pays with his own life to save his button, he comes closer to understanding the demands made in the “battle” of life.
