The offerings, given to Israel in the Old Testament and so seldom understood and appreciated, speak most emphatically of our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Mankind became alienated from God, and doomed to spend eternity in the lake of fire, because of Adam’s disobedience. It was through the offerings that God chose to reveal to man not only his lost condition, but how man’s approach to and fellowship with God, could be restored.
In these offerings, the author very clearly points out not only the moral perfections of the life of Christ, but also His innermost thoughts and feelings; His absolute obedience even to death, by which He so completely satisfied a hold God as to the matter of sin and sins.
As you read this book you will come into a deeper, fuller appreciation of the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ that caused God to open the heavens and say, “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.”
