William “Bill” MacDonald

He was the author of 84 Books, most being translated into many different languages. He taught at Emmaus Bible School from 1947 to 1965, served as president of the school from 1959 to 1965. He and Jean Gibson started a training program called Discipleship Intern Training Program in San Leandro, California. Bill was born in Leominster, Mass. USA, on Jan.7, 1917. His family moved to the Isle of Lewis in Scotland shortly after, later returning to the United States where he attended Tufts University, he received his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Harvard. He was saved at age 18. One of his major works was the writing of the Believer’s Bible Commentary, a commentary on the whole Bible, which continues to be a “best-seller”. Mr. William MacDonald lived a long life serving His Lord through the studying and teaching the Word of God, preaching and writing ministry. He was promoted to Glory Dec.25, 2007. His books and writings continue to be distributed throughout the world in many different languages.
