Imagine the coronation of a new king and all the splendour and glory associated with such a ceremony. David was anointed king three times. The Lord Jesus Christ was also anointed three times; by a woman who was a sinner (Luke 7:37), by a friend in her home (John 12:3) and by an unknown woman in the house of a former leper (Mark 14:3).
