Exodus 25:1-40; Psalm 69:1-36; Acts 14:1-27

The women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things. Luke 23:49

Women feature very prominently in our Lord’s life. They followed Him from the commencement of His public ministry in Galilee till He was crucified, watching Him from afar off even until He was buried (Luke 23:45, 55). They ministered to Him in life and were the first to visit His tomb after His death (Mark 15:41; 16:1). It is no wonder that the Lord first appeared to a woman (Mary Magdalene) after His resurrection (Mark. 16:9). Though women seemed to be “hiding“ from view in the Lord’s time, they were highly honoured by the Lord Himself. —K. C. Ung
