Why I Believe in Creation

The origin of the universe, the origin of the solar system, the origin of the life on earth, the origin of species and the origin of humans have been sought by scientists and philosophers for centuries. Who or what is (or was) responsible for all the things we see around us? When did it all begin? Did it in fact have a beginning? If so, who or what started it off? Is everything the result of a definite act of creation by an almighty God, or is everything a product of chance natural processes? Can we ever know the answers to such questions, seeing that no one was around in the beginning to observe what was taking place? Does it matter anyways?

Dr Monty White believes that the entire universe- the sun, the moon, the stars, the earth itself and all the various life forms upon it, including people – is the result of the creative acts of an almighty, powerful God. In other words, he believes that the Lord God Almighty is the maker of ‘heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is’ (Exodus 20:11, AV).
